RM minnettarlıklarını dile getirdi ve “Bu bizim için çok önemli, bugün elimizden gelenin en iyisini yapacağız” dedi.
Bu yıl, kategorideki diğer adaylar; GOT7, EXO, Ariana Grande ve Louis Tomlinson idi. BTS, 2017’de En İyi Sosyal Sanatçı unvanını aldığı zaman BBMA’de kazanan ilk Koreli grup olmuştu ve 2018’de tekrar ödülü almaya devam etti. Justin Bieber, 2011 yılından bu yana her yıl ödülün sahibi olmuştu.
BTS şu an BBMA’de 3 ödül kazanan ilk Koreli sanatçı ve törenden ödül alan tek Koreli sanatçı. PSY, 2013 yılında “Gangnam Style” ile “Top Streaming Song” BBMA ödülüne sahip diğer Koreli sanatçı.
BTS ayrıca, 03.00’te (TSİ) başlayacak ve NBC’de canlı yayımlanacak olan bu yılki törende Top Duo / Grup ödülüne aday gösterildi.
